How this BuildingBoat display stand holds the LEGO building kit
The problem with the UCS Falcon is not weight, it is geometry: a disc nearly three feet across flat on a shelf shows a roof and hides everything that makes the model famous. Standing it on edge solves the view and the shelf depth at once, and the whole engineering job is making sure a hull that heavy stays on edge for years. Our answer is a triangular spine into a base 11.8 inches long with the mass concentrated at the front.
It clips into plating the set already has on its underside, so no panel is pinched and nothing is glued. Assembled it stands 17.7 inches high and 7.1 inches wide — measure the shelf before building, because this is the one stand of ours that needs real headroom.
Among LEGO display stands this is the heavy end of the shelf. Acrylic display cases that swallow a Falcon do exist and cost more than the set; a premium case protects rather than showcases, so collectors who own one usually stand the ship inside it on this bracket. The spine was designed around the plating of that one hull, which is why it is not a universal mount for other LEGO sets, for smaller ships or for a LEGO Technic chassis — a Technic frame has no comparable underside to clip into. An angled cradle will not hold a disc this wide either, which is why this is the only vertical in a collection of three brackets and the only one we would put a built Star Wars hull of this size on.

It works!
This little stand clips in wonderfully into the existing parts of the Millenium Falcon, building although repetitive, was simple. There was one mistake in part of the instructions, however with a little bit of intuition it was a very easy mistake to spot and fix, and it was only in that specific section of the instructions, on other pages it was in the correct place. Has worked very well, and feels very strong.
Well Worth It
Wasn’t sure what to expect purchasing this but in the end it all worked out. Putting the stand together was not bad at all and the instructions are easy to follow. It was however a bit tricky attaching it to the millennium falcon itself but with guidance from a video on youtube produced by christian lopez as another reviewer pointed out previously, it was probably a much better experience had i not followed his guide so highly recommend taking a look at that if you do purchase this product.
