Why this display stand rotates a LEGO building kit instead of fixing it

An Imperial destroyer is all silhouette, and a silhouette wants to be walked around. That is why this stand rotates: the column locks into the hull with a link-and-lock joint, and the whole assembly turns 360 degrees on the base without being unclipped. The incline is set so the dorsal surface and the engine block are visible from a seated eye level rather than from above.

It is the lightest stand we build — 8.5 inches long, 5.9 wide, 3.8 high, 172 bricks in sequenced bags — and the easiest, which is why we mark it from age six. The base is weighted enough that a nudge rotates the ship instead of moving the stand.

Rotation is also why it is the cheapest thing in the collection: a 172-piece column needs no weighted slab when the hull above it is a destroyer rather than a UCS Falcon. Against acrylic display cases the trade is the usual one — a premium clear case will protect the ship from dust but holds it flat and still, while LEGO display stands like this one give a silhouette attitude and a full turn. Collectors with Star Wars ships in a cabinet put one of these at the front, where the rotation showcases a profile built to be walked around; fans of LEGO Technic get less from it, because a Technic chassis is designed to be read level. The column is cut for two specific LEGO sets, 75394 and 75357, and we claim it for nothing else.

What builders wrote

Ease.

Out of all the stands I've built for different ships, this one was the easiest and did not require any band aids after completion. The directions are typical third party but they were easiest enough to follow. If you have a misstep it's fairly hard to separate the bricks so just double check before the official "click" happens. Once completed it fit perfect on the ship. Highly recommend!

Great stand for amazing price

For the price this is amazing, does the job perfectly and feels very sturdy. Looks like Lego only downside is they don’t connect as smooth as Lego but still gets the job done, wish it was at an angle but can’t be helped because of legos design there wasn’t a lot of spots to securely hoist the set up with. I bought the UCS Mileneum falcon stand also hoping for the same success.

Good but lacking parts quality control

This is a very solid stand but like others have said I was missing a part or more correctly it included the wrong part. Luckily it was more of a cosmetic part and did not impact the build. Better quality control is needed for this to get 5 stars. Also the directions are not the clearest. I’m an experienced LEGO built and have to admit I had to take it apart and start over. Overall I would recommend it to display your build.

Worth it, with some caveats

The stand works well for the Star Destroyer, but was somewhat difficult to put together. Some pieces are very tight and required me to push against a hard surface to fit. The instructions were also a bit confusing, but overall was worth the price paid.
