BuildingBoat Slipway — troop carriers and battle craft

Two rolling carriers with hidden wheels, figure racks and weapon racks. Built to be played with first and displayed second.

Both models in the slipway hide their wheels under the hull, so a push along a table reads as a hover. The small craft carries 32 soldiers and two clankers and is a 32-piece build for a six-year-old; the Trade Federation transport is 1286 pieces, holds 22 soldiers with weapons, and opens along both flanks and the rear hatch.

The large transport has the mechanics we are most pleased with: a sliding tank compartment on the rear platform and a gear-driven front ramp that extends when the wheel is turned. Figure racks and weapon racks clip in and out, so the hold can be loaded differently every time.

Both are ABS, both take LEGO minifigures, and both arrive in numbered bags with a printed booklet. If a carrier is going on a shelf rather than a floor, one of our angled stands from the Mast Mounts shelf will lift the nose.

Questions about the Slipway

What ages are these built for?

The attack craft is a 32-piece build for ages six and up. The droid transport is a 1286-piece build and we mark it twelve and up, mostly because of the gear assembly.

Will the figures from my own sets fit the racks?

They will. The racks are standard stud spacing, so minifigures and weapons from other brick sets clip straight in.
